Canteen
Castle Hill Public School is fortunate to have a full-time canteen providing a great range of fresh and prepackaged food to students and staff at recess and lunch daily at very reasonable prices.
It operates under the management of the Parents & Citizens Association. 100% of profits from the canteen are returned to the school for the educational benefit of all students.
The CHPS Canteen is open Monday to Friday from 8:30am–2:00pm during the school term. Due to construction at the school the Canteen cannot currently offer over the counter service. The Canteen is only able to provide lunches ordered via Flexischools or by completing a lunch order bag and providing cash before 9.00am.

Healthy Canteen Strategy
All canteens in NSW public schools must meet the requirements set out in the NSW Healthy School Canteen Strategy. These include providing healthy food and drink options – to make the healthy choice an easy choice for parents and students. Visit https://healthyschoolcanteens.nsw.gov.au/ to learn more.
We are proud our canteen is meeting the NSW Healthy School Canteen Strategy. By having a healthy canteen, we are supporting the health and wellbeing of our students.

Volunteer in our Canteen
The canteen is staffed primarily with volunteer parents on a rostered basis. Volunteering is a wonderful way to get involved in your child’s education as well as get to know staff and other parents and carers. Volunteers are what enable us to keep the prices low and return all profits to the school.
To volunteer, please contact canteen supervisor Tanya or Leanne on canteen@chpspandc.org.au
